Staff Projects March 2007

March 13th - Here are some photos of the work of our staff that I promised last week.

The first is the Blue Heron Landscape Vest made and modeled by Janet. The second photo is the
Landscape she used to create the vest and the third photo is her swatch. You can see how well she
managed to knit the landscape  into her vest. This was done with Blue Heron's new yarn, Texture.
This is a mix of Cotton and Nylon.

Two of our favorite projects by Janet are her felted bags, one is the Entrelac Bag.
This is made from a Plymouth pattern.   Using a double strand of Cascade 220 she
chose to make a double set of bands at the top. You have to admit this one is stunning.

My favorite bag is the Doll bag from a Berroco pattern. Janet used a combination
of Cascade 220, Malabrigo and Lambs Pride yarns.

The next two photos are sweaters that Willie made from the Ironstone Yarn,
Island Cotton, which happens to be on sale right now. These are both great
  sweaters for Spring.

The next photo is a cute Summer Tank, modeled by Marnie, and knitted by Janet.
The yarn is a new one called "Hot Cotton". If you scroll down this page you will see
  a photo of the yarn.

The last photo is a striped cardigan that Marnie made as a birthday gift for her sister Karen
(I know what you are thinking, "How does she do it?") This is made with the Debbie Bliss
Cashmerino Aran. This sweater works well for casual wear or for dressy occasions.

That's it for today, but we wll be back with more very soon.
